When asked about characteristics that best describe God, their responses included: amazing, calming, caring, compassionate, creator, fearless, forgiving, good leader, healer, helpful, heroic, honest, inspiring, jealous, kind, loving, mighty, nice, powerful, protecting, smart, strong, wise...
And what is God best known for? Responses included: creating this world and everyone; loving everyone; sending his son to die on the cross for our sins; able to perform miracles; healer;hearing and answering prayers
That's a pretty good start! Yesterday we looked at the big picture of Scripture and all the learning that is ahead of us. Our goal is not just to add more stories and information to our already crammed-full brains, but to discover who God is by looking at the relationships he's had in the past, and explore what our relationship with him can be like.
Who is God? (Building Block #1)
God is personal, eternal Spirit, creator of the universe, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Father.
